iBAF 2026 to Address Future of Islamic Finance (Call for Paper)

The 12th Islamic Banking, Accounting and Finance International Conference (iBAF 2026) is scheduled to take place on 9–10 September 2026 in Putrajaya, offering both in-person and virtual participation options. The conference will gather global experts, academics, and industry professionals to explore emerging trends shaping the future of Islamic finance.

Organized by the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, this year’s conference is centered on the theme: “Future-Ready Islamic Accounting, Banking and Finance: Integrating Artificial Intelligence, Sustainability and Governance.” The event aims to highlight how technological innovation and ethical frameworks are transforming financial systems within an Islamic context.

iBAF 2026 will cover a wide range of sub-themes, including Islamic banking and finance, fintech and digital ecosystems, environmental governance, halal management, and Shariah audit and ethics. Additional areas of focus include financial economics, social finance, legal frameworks, and the role of maqasid al-Shariah in contemporary financial practices.

The conference provides a platform for participants to present research, exchange insights, and build collaborations across academia and industry. Selected papers will have the opportunity to be published in internationally indexed journals, including those listed in Scopus, MyCite, and ERA, subject to review and additional publication requirements.

Participation and paper submissions are managed through an online system, where interested contributors can register and submit their abstracts and full manuscripts electronically.

As the Islamic finance sector continues to evolve in response to global challenges and technological advancements, iBAF 2026 is expected to play a key role in fostering dialogue and innovation in the field.
