About us
To realize the orders of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Marjas, Islamic scholars, and seminary school students, the Office of Contemporary Jurisprudence was established in May 2016 under the supervision of Ayatollah Shabzendehdar as one of the centers operating under the management of the seminaries. The office focuses on transforming jurisprudential studies based on dynamic jurisprudence and implementing the first, second, third, and eighth key goals outlined in the "Document for Religious Seminaries Future" and its macro-level strategies. The department includes a High Scientific Council that consists a group of well-known professors in advanced jurisprudential studies:

Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Ali Modarresi Yazdi and a wide group of accomplished seminary and university researchers and scholars.
The main objectives of Contemporary Jurisprudence Department:
1)
Transforming and improving the educational texts on jurisprudence and principles for advanced levels in seminaries while adhering to proper jurisprudential methods of traditional and Shia seminaries.
2)
Expanding jurisprudence and fundamentals courses to include contemporary subjects and principles of deduction.
3)
Expanding and deepening research, articles, and theses around contemporary jurisprudence.
4)
Fostring an environment for academic dynamism, flourishing talent, and innovative ideas among students, to bring up active and competent jurists.
5)
Facilitating greater engagement of seminaries in producing knowledge on contemporary issues.
