&nbsp;According to the statistics presented from the first week of choosing the courses, the courses of al-Lahs and al-Laghahi and al-Faiq have been widely welcomed by the respected students, which is very surprising.Therefore, in order to avoid the problem of lack of classes, consultations are being held with specialized jurisprudence schools so that in these schools, free students will also be allowed to participate in these two courses.Until now, Imam Kazem’s specialized schools of jurisprudence, Saheb al-Amr and Imam Hassan’s school of knowledge, have agreed with this issue. Therefore, all respected students should pay attention when choosing al-Faiq and al-Lahs al-Laghahi courses, if the teaching place of the teacher they are interested in is announced in one of the schools, they can choose the course and attend his class.This matter is still being followed up and this request has been submitted to the other respected managers of jurisprudential centers to cooperate in this important matter and allow free students who apply for these two courses to attend their schools.

Important notice in the selection of al-Laghahi and al-Faiq courses

In this edition, corrections and viewpoints of the respected teachers which have been gathered over the last two years, has been implemented.&nbsp;The book ‘Al-Fā’iq’ includes discussions such as ‘Seere Uqalā’ (Conduct of rational people); Ḥujjiyat Iṭlāqāt dar Mawḍū’āt Mustaḥaditha (authority of the generic proofs in new subjects), Tanqīḥ Manāṭ (isolation of the criterion), Ilgā ye Khusūsiyat, Tanāsub Ḥukm wa Mawḍū’ (compatibility of law and subject) which students require in advanced level lessons and are not studied in-depth in prevalent books.&nbsp;To obtain this book, you can refer to ‘Intishārāt Ḥawza’ bookshop at Madāne Ruḥullah or go through the the ‘Intishārāt Ḥawza’ website

&nbsp;According to the new issues and reports of respected students and professors, it is necessary to inform Azeah:&nbsp;<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">The book of al-Lahs al-Laghahi has two parts and two exams. The first of the book has been printed many times in the summer and reached the hands of professors and students with a unique welcome and is currently being taught. The second part of the book al-Lahs al-Laghahi will be published by the end of autumn in a volume close to the first part and will be taught in the second half of the year. Therefore, the respected students who have chosen the second part of the legal person, can participate in the classes according to the normal routine from winter.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">There was a problem in applying the scores of those who passed the previous year’s preparatory courses in contemporary jurisprudence. After many follow-ups, the esteemed director of technology said that the instructions and administrative issues have been resolved and soon all the promised privileges will be applied to the esteemed students.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">The preparatory courses of contemporary jurisprudence are different from the courses outside of contemporary jurisprudence. These courses are text-based and students can participate in them. Currently, students can see 8 introductory course titles in the course selection section, some of which are not unique to one book title. More than 90 professors provide different books for the relevant course, the complete list of which can be seen here.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Preparatory courses are very effective in the future of ijtihad and education. These courses are completely optional, but they have received a lot of attention, and respected students from the level of their interest in the field of interest first read the text and become familiar with the specialized literature of knowledge, and then they can continue the same in the external courses of contemporary jurisprudence. This is how, along with absolute ijtihad, they can acquire the necessary expertise in various subjects. The books are all ijtihad and up-to-date. Therefore, it is a great opportunity for the students to have a serious presence in it in order to make full use of the course outside of contemporary jurisprudence.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">If you see that the students of the seminaries have serious doubts in the new scientific programs of the seminaries, besides the old programs, this action is the result of a correct explanation.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">However, due to the large number of professors and students, the field management group may not have completed a complete explanation in some areas despite all efforts. Therefore, it is appropriate for all scholars, professors, managers and respected students to accompany this comprehensive explanation of the field. If any of the people, by watching the clips and announcements of the field, have clarified some issues for them, they should explain the issue to one person, ten people, a hundred people or even more. Surely, all participants in this matter will have a scientific interest in it. Therefore, we should consider it our duty to explain to everyone from today, so that untrue words are not published. And we should never consider this to be the sole responsibility of seminary administrators. The main issue to explain is the optionality of the courses, which is the permanent tradition of the field and is also given in an extremely complete way in the new educational program of the field.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">As the elders such as Martyr Sadr (R.A) said in the introduction to Halqat and the late Grand Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Saeed Hakim (R.A) in the introduction to Al-Kafi Fi al-Asul and others, one of the methods of teaching accurate knowledge, which is a common method even outside the field is that the educational book and scientific reference should be written in such a way that it is not necessarily the opinion of one person, but rather a book with internal coherence and scientific strength that provides what the students need. So that they can criticize and ijtihad in it and produce new words.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Some books of contemporary jurisprudence, such as al-Lahs al-Laghahi and al-Faiq, were compiled on the same method. Just as Martyr Sadr (R.A) said as an expert on the principles that what is stated in Halqat or Ekhtazna is not necessarily my final opinion, but it is sufficient for education, the same is stated in the introduction of contemporary jurisprudence books. What comes in the published books of that office after hundreds of group discussions and discussions (which is unique in the field and at this scientific level) is not necessarily the opinion of all the elders present in the meetings, but according to them, it is a coherent, accurate and useful book for teaching. However, it will be completed over time by sending dozens of suggestions from professors.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Some other books published by Daftar, such as Fiqh al-Naqud, Fiqh al-Borasteh, Fiqh Ramarzha, etc., have followed the method of collecting the opinions of a certain scholar and thinker.</li></ul>&nbsp;In these 6 days of activity of the office until today, the love and kindness of the professors and students increases with each passing day, and we certainly did not believe such support on the first day. And along with the support and, of course, constructive and extremely excellent scientific criticisms, we benefited from the supreme authority of Taqlid and the honorable professors. We kiss everyone’s hands and thank God.Don’t worry about the few people who take offense online, these things are normal in doing great things. Just start explaining now.

Achievements:<ul><li>Compilation of the books, “Al-Fāiq fī Al-Usūl”, “Al-Rāid fī Al-Usūl”, “A commentary on&nbsp;Al-Fāiq fī Al-Usūl”, a total of 5 volumes in the subjects which required in the subject of Islamic Legal Theory which has been held in 240 classrooms with the attendance of 5,000 students from all over the country in the last two years.</li><li>Authoring the book entitles “A Legal Entity” and making a start on teaching this book on a trial basis.</li><li>Forming 8 research groups with the cooperation of university professors in the subjects of economics, fundamental rights, human rights, legal procedure, social media, artificial intelligence, and cryptocurrencies and cooperating with the jurists of the Islamic Seminary and launching advanced jurisprudential lessons in the subjects of cryptocurrencies, money, stock exchange and capital market, judicial law, legislative jurisprudence, legal entity; Compilation and publication of 9 volumes of books from the lessons of contemporary jurisprudence.</li><li>Creating a platform to facilitate and encourage students and professors to take advanced jurisprudential lessons on contemporary jurisprudence with the cooperation of the management and education departments of the Islamic Seminaries; The result of this synergy was that in the academic year of 2022 - 2023, the subject of contemporary jurisprudence had the largest number of students and the largest number of courses of advanced jurisprudence compared to other areas of jurisprudence; 50 courses where more than 3,400 people (nearly 45% of students of advanced jurisprudence) participated in these courses, which is a rare statistic.</li><li>Announcement of more than 200 topics for level 3 and 4 theses related to the topics that were taught.</li><li>Compilation of 4 books on "SDR, the first international currency", "legal aspects of money" and "ethics of artificial intelligence". These books will be available to seminary teachers, and as the late Kashif al-Ghita wrote Tahrīr al-Majala, they will be introduced along with a published critical review and a suitable book title for teaching in Islamic Seminaries and universities.</li><li>Forming specialized working groups to review international and domestic documents and laws. Compilation of a one volume book cover on the criticism of the draft recommendation on the ethics of artificial intelligence, which was proposed by the UNESCO organization. Introductory-Lessons-in Contemporary-Jurisprudence

According to the Hawza News Agency, over the last few days, Introductory courses to Contemporary Jurisprudence, as a new movement in the path of Ijtihādi evolution on the foundations of jurisprudence of the author of Jawāhir ul Kalām, was the point of discussion amongst students and learned of the seminary. The measures which were promised by the Office of Contemporary Jurisprudence of the Islamic Seminaries, by the Grace of Allah have been fulfilled.&nbsp;The full text of this discussion which took place with Ayatullah A’rāfī, the Head of the Islamic Seminaries, is presented below:&nbsp;Initially, the Head of the Islamic Seminaries began by expressing his gladness with this great step: From the previous year, it has been requested from the Office of Contemporary Jurisprudence that just as good measures were taken to develop Advanced Level courses in Contemporary Jurisprudence, similarly, measures should be taken for text-oriented courses of Contemporary Jurisprudence. Thus, with co-ordination with different composites of education and technology at the headquarters and High Levels, the trial phase of this phase has begun.&nbsp;The aim of this task is that the heritage of Contemporary Jurisprudence of the elders of the Islamic Seminary, who were always leading in contemporary issues throughout history, is entered into the education system of the Islamic Seminaries and the respected students as well, prior to entering the advanced level classes of Contemporary Jurisprudence, become familiarized with the jurisprudential texts in contemporary subjects, method of analysis and reasoning in this field.&nbsp;&nbsp;In continuation, Ayatullah A’rāfī said: ‘In the first step, 19 books in 8 subjects have been selected. It has been endeavoured that works from previous jurists such as Sheikh Ḥussain Ḥillī, Ayatullah Hāshimī Shahrūdī, Ayatullah Mu’min, Ayatullah Khalkhālī, who was one of the judges,&nbsp; is used as well as works from the present-day Respected Mara’je such as Ayatullah Makārem Shirāzī, Subḥānī and Sayed Kāẓim Hāeiri and some exceptional teachers of advanced level courses of contemporary jurisprudence are utilized. These programs will be implemented based on the comprehensive plan and the 5-year plan of the Office of Contemporary Jurisprudence.&nbsp;At the end, the Head of the Islamic Seminaries said: We are at the onset of this great task and invite all the teachers of the Higher Level and Advanced Level to help with their strong presence in strengthening this intellectual measure and new subjects and books will also be added in the future to these courses.&nbsp;

Elaboration of the Introductory Courses to Contemporary Jurisprudence is a new movement in the path of Ijtihādi evolution

<ul><li>With regard to this that the elders and teachers of the Islamic seminaries have always had a scientific input in contemporary issues on the basis of the jurisprudential method of the Late author of (the book) Jawāhir and with the goal of familiarizing the learned (in the seminary) with the Ijtihādi text of contemporary teachers of the seminary, 15 books in 8 subjects have been introduced for teaching.</li><li>These books are&nbsp;text oriented and their range has been introduced&nbsp;here.</li><li>Teachers who have been authorized to teach the 9th and 10th level and advanced level can select these lesson and students of the aforementioned levels and of advanced level can select the lesson and their preferred teacher on the Najāh portal.</li><li>The above lessons, in order to facilitate registration, have been&nbsp;defined as lessons of the ‘open’ level on the teachers portal and can be viewed and selected in that portal.</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Support package and benefits of introductory lessons of contemporary jurisprudence has been approved as follows:</li></ul>&nbsp;<ol><li>In the academic year 1401-1402 (2022-2023), students on the 9th and 10th level who have participated in one introductory lesson of contemporary jurisprudence and pass in the exams of the two semesters (of that academic year), a 1.5 score as an accolade will be added to their written exam score for the book ‘Makāsib’ and a 1.5 score as an accolade will be added to their oral exam score for the book ‘Makāsib’.</li></ol>&nbsp;Note: Accolade score for the written (exam) of ‘Makāsib’ at the discretion of the student, can be added to any of the score of their&nbsp;written ‘Makāsib’ (exam) although with the condition that they obtain at least a score of 12 in that exam.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;2. In the academic year 1401-1402 (2022-2023), students of advanced level classes who have participated in the introductory contemporary &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;jurisprudential classes and were successful in their exam for the two semesters, a score of 2 will be added to their interview for their &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; advanced level class as an accolade.Note: At the discretion of the students, accolade score for their advanced level interview can be added to any of their advanced level interview scores with the condition they obtain a score of at least 12 in that interview.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 2.Teachers for introductory lessons of contemporary jurisprudence will enjoy all the privileges that teachers of higher levels have including &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; length of teaching and remuneration.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 3. All distinctions of introductory lessons of contemporary jurisprudence is specific only to students who participate in one introductory &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;lesson and obtain a score of at least 12 in the written exam.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 4. For each of the&nbsp;introductory lessons of contemporary jurisprudence, at least 60 lessons must be held in each semester even if these 60 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;lessons are held together, during holidays, month of Ramadhān or the like.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 5.In order to participate in the second semester of the academic year of every lesson, the specified lesson program of the first semester &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;should have been studied.<ul><li>Contemporary lessons 1-8 are not connected to each other and each teacher, based on their interest and capability, can teach one of these lessons. However any lesson that is selected, the specified lesson program for the first semester should be taught and thereafter the specified lesson program for the second semester. If in the event, the first semester was taught in the previous year, the second semester must be taught in the current year.</li><li>The approved books have been selected in the first step of this big project and in the event of being welcomed by the respected teachers and students, possibility of increasing these books in the coming years is present.&nbsp;</li></ul>

The Department of Contemporary Jurisprudence

According to the news agency of the seminary, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, the Grand Marja of the Shia, deemed it necessary to pay deep attention to the subjects in of contemporary jurisprudence.

He made the request in a meeting with the heads of the seminaries and the contemporary jurisprudence department while praising their accomplishments in the field. He emphasized the importance of focusing on the depth of the subjects and ensuring a strong intellectual role the Office of Contemporary Jurisprudence should play.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ayatollah Arafi expressed gratitude to Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi for his support, discussed seminary administration and programs, and highlighted the initiatives and publications of the Office of Contemporary Jurisprudence.

He emphasized the importance of thorough 5-year planning for significant tasks, including the activities of the Office of Contemporary Jurisprudence. The focus is on advanced lessons rooted in seminary methodology, avoiding pseudo-enlightenment ideas, and relying on independent seminary principles. The institute collaborates with seminary and university teachers to analyze subjects jurisprudentially. This year, a 9-volume book on ijtihad in contemporary jurisprudence has been published, with plans for an equal number of new books next year.

The head of Iran&#39;s Islamic seminary highlighted the collaborative effort behind the book Al-Fā&rsquo;iq and its commentary, authored with the support of renowned advanced jurisprudence teachers. He emphasized that this book, as a supplement to Kifāyah, has sparked intellectual growth in the seminary. He also noted that future publications will be added to the seminary education system which will complement Makāsib in subjects such as &#39;legal entity.&#39;

Identifying and publishing books which in the last 100 years have been authored in Najaf and Qom on contemporary subject was a project he considered one of the other tasks of Contemporary Jurisprudence Office in the next year.

Ayatollah Arafi noted: &quot;We have contacted different Government bodies and have collected their issues and principle needs and formed more than 20 intellectual committees with the respected research executive Hujjatul Islām wa al-Muslimīn Muqīmī Ḥājī.&quot;

He stated that students, teachers, and seminary centers conducting strategic research aligned with announced guidelines to address societal issues will receive support, adding that over 100 projects have already commenced and are set to be published by next year.

Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimīn Esna Ashari, head of the Department of Contemporary Jurisprudence of the seminary, for his part said: &lsquo;Although these lessons began in the second half of the seminary school year, 72 teachers and more than 1000 students participated in these lessons and it is anticipated that this number will be doubled in the next year.

With over 200 teachers, around 4,800 students are enrolled in advanced contemporary jurisprudence lessons, and 2,500 in Al-Fā&rsquo;iq courses, he reported and said the figures reflect 45% of high-level students&#39; engagement with contemporary issues in some capacity.

Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimīn Esna Ashari added: &quot;At higher levels, students and teachers not only teach and study but also research new lessons alongside traditional seminary subjects. This allows them to grasp traditional principles of ijtihad while exploring its application to contemporary issues.&quot;

The office of contemporary jurisprudence highlighted the popularity of introductory books in this semester, including &#39;Usury and Islamic Banking&#39; and &#39;Analysis of Methods to Elude Usury&#39; by Ayatollah Makarem, &#39;Governance in Islam by Ayatollah Khalkhālī, &#39;Our Economics&#39; by Shahīd Ṣadr, &#39;Jurisprudence of Guardianship and Governance&#39; by Ayatollah Maẓāherī, and Fiqh of Cryptocurrencies by Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Reza Modaressi.

Seminary Initiatives Essential in Jurisprudence Development 

During the meeting held at Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi&#39;s residence, he highlighted the growing interest in jurisprudence and its principles within the seminaries, emphasizing their foundational role in religious rulings. He acknowledged the significant initiatives in this field, praising them as important steps in the right direction.

He highlighted subjectology examples, emphasizing the need for precise analysis of money, its origins, and generation within the complexities of the modern global economic system.

He argued that topics of cryptocurrencies, their classification as money or commodities, and the analysis of various company forms and investment types require precise scrutiny.

&quot;Additionally, the foundational rulings on these subjects must be clarified. The issue of loans, borrowing, and the disapproval of such practices, as noted in Imam Khomeini&#39;s writings, is another critical matter that demands serious attention and action,&quot; the Grand Marja said.

Hujjat al-Islam Esna Ashari reported an extensive seminary-university team being established from different scientific fields and serious attention is being given to interdisciplinary research and different thematic aspects such as money. Likewise, opinions of legislative groups are being taken into account and lengthy periods are being dedicated to thematic while sometimes last over a year.

At the end, the Ayatollah demanded the abstracts and conclusions of teachers&#39; intellectual works on cryptocurrencies and other publications to be sent to him for a review.

Specialized Subjectology

Approximately 20 days ago, the office of contemporary jurisprudence launched a general call for seminary and university thinkers to assist in the critique of the recommendations draft.&nbsp;A number of respected seminary teachers and researchers of jurisprudence, ethics, philosophy, law and artificial intelligence announced their readiness in this regard and through their concise and accurate work, in addition to the fundamental and formative critiques, we were able to present strategic&nbsp;and appropriate legislative recommendations.&nbsp;Ayatullah Arafi as well, like always, with support, backing and quick measures, delivered the prepared document to President Raisi thus it may be used by the present Iranian delegation in the meetings, so we do not encounter similar issues like the 2030 document (UNESCO’s Sustainable development goals).&nbsp;In this relation, we announce our many thanks and appreciation to all the dear teachers and researchers.&nbsp;At present, we are awaiting the final UNESCO document in ethics of artificial intelligence. Thereafter, the existing critique overseeing the draft will be amended and completed with the co-operation of the authors in relation to the text of the approved draft and will be publicly released in a book independent from the series of artificial intelligence books.&nbsp;

UNESCO, after two years of work and three amendments, at the end of the current year published the final draft of artificial intelligence ethics document and intends deliver this document in Paris for the approval of Member states on the 41st meeting in Āban 1400 (October 2021).
