Al-Azhar Hosts Scientific Conference Ethics Rationality

The Women’s College of Islamic and Arabic Studies at Al-Azhar University has announced its Fifth International Scientific Conference under the theme “Ethics and the Mechanisms of Building Rational Awareness.” The event will take place on March 5–6, 2024, in Cairo.

Conference Overview

The Dean of the Women’s College of Islamic and Arabic Studies at Al-Azhar University stated that the conference aims to advance the maqāṣid al-sharī‘a (higher objectives of Islamic law) in shaping a physically and psychologically sound human being, capable of contributing to the development of the world in accordance with divine guidance.

The conference further seeks to address moral deviations in light of the Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah, while emphasizing the importance of ethics and rational awareness in both individual and societal development.
