Rather, it has become the world’s largest global phenomenon, bringing together millions of people from different races, nationalities, and religions, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries. This unparalleled journey, undertaken on foot towards Karbala, is more than a physical movement; it is an inward journey for the reconstruction of character and the profound transformation of the human mind and soul.&nbsp;Many people resist the idea of change because change requires the dismantling of old habits and stepping outside the comfort and security of familiarity, status, and ease. The reconstruction of character along this path begins with a form of “demolition”—the breaking down of flawed mental structures. Arbaeen provides an opportunity in which generosity and self-sacrifice replace self-centredness. The volunteers serving in the Husaynī mawākib (service stations) offer everything they possess without expecting anything in return. Through this selfless giving, they refine their souls and return to their original, God-given nature. This process moves a person away from negativity and pessimism towards tranquility, inner peace, and positive spiritual vitality.&nbsp;The historical experience of Imam Hussain’s uprising serves as a mirror through which humanity can measure its capacity for personal transformation. In this path, the transformation of character is not accidental but the product of a conscious choice. At decisive moments, some individuals chose the side of truth over falsehood, transforming themselves from mere attachment to worldly interests into everlasting freedom. Others, despite recognizing the truth, lost the opportunity for transformation because of their attachment to worldly life and fear of losing comfort and security. Arbaʿīn teaches that insight and awareness are inward qualities that each individual must cultivate within themselves.&nbsp;Beyond its spiritual dimension, the Arbaʿīn pilgrimage possesses profound ethical, social, and humanitarian significance. It guides pilgrims towards lofty ideals such as freedom, justice, and human dignity. Standing firm against corruption and oppression becomes a model for rebuilding the character of modern humanity, encouraging people not to remain silent in the face of moral failings or social injustice. Participation in this “human tide” nurtures the spirit of sacrifice and resilience within pilgrims and teaches them that true power lies not in material means, but in the strength of faith and determination.&nbsp;The reconstruction of character achieved through Arbaeen is a process that continues long after the pilgrimage has ended. Genuine transformation occurs when the pilgrim is able to preserve the spiritual gains of the journey against the temptations of worldly desires and the pull of former habits. This journey reminds us that rebuilding one’s inner self is only the first step; remaining steadfast upon the path of truth requires continuous striving.&nbsp;Ultimately, Arbaeen creates a bond between heartfelt devotion and conscious understanding, providing a foundation for comprehensive reform in both individual character and the broader social order. By enduring the hardships of the journey, the pilgrim experiences a sense of lightness and elevation towards higher human ideals, the result of which is the removal of worldly impurities from the soul and a return to humanity’s pure, innate nature (fiṭrah). According to ISNA news agency, the Iranian ambassador to China, on behalf of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, signed the founding document of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, registering Iran's name among the member countries of this newly established organization.&nbsp;After signing this document, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, in a meeting with Liu Bin, Vice Foreign Minister of China, emphasized the importance of the role of multilateral cooperation in shaping the future of advanced technologies and said: Iran is ready to actively participate in the scientific, research and application development of artificial intelligence, as well as in creating international mechanisms for the fair use of this technology.&nbsp;The Iranian ambassador in Beijing emphasized that by participating in this international initiative and being among the founding countries, the Islamic Republic of Iran is pursuing its approach of constructive participation in the field of new technologies and using the capacities of artificial intelligence for the sustainable development and progress of societies.&nbsp;The World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO) was established on July 16, 2026, at the initiative of China, on the sidelines of the "World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026" in Shanghai.
