During his advanced kharij Fiq lessons in Qom's Grand Mosque Ayatollah Shabzendedar stated: “The way to prevent these issues [desecrating hijab] from arising is that everyone - especially ladies who maintain hijab and those who see Hazrat Fatimah and Hazrat Zeinab (peace be upon them both) as their leaders - should announce that they want hijab. This desire should be announced to the entire world.”&nbsp;He considered pro-hijab rallies in part of the country effective act that should be supported and stressed: "The public should help officials deal with this issue with greater determination, by making their demands heard".&nbsp;Hijab acts as a unifying symbol for Muslim women, cultivating a sense of belonging and solidarity. The communal spirit enhances social bonds and fosters collective support. Additionally, it plays a vital role in promoting modesty, dignity, and respect, thereby contributing to the overall ethical health of society.

Member of Iran's Guardian Council Stresses Importance of Hijab as Principle

The call includes presenting a comprehensive critique in relation to the final draft of 'UNESCO’s&nbsp;recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence' and formulating an alternative recommendation on the subject.All critiques and proposals will be compiled and submitted to the Foreign Ministry to ensure that, during the UNESCO meetings scheduled for late October, the Islamic Republic of Iran presents well-informed positions and alternative recommendations on the subject.&nbsp;Accepted critiques along with a translation of the aforementioned recommendations will be published in a book by&nbsp;the Department of Contemporary Jurisprudence.The Centre for Contemporary Jurisprudence has completed the translation of UNESCO's final draft on artificial intelligence ethics recommendations. The translation will be provided to verified researchers, selected based on their qualifications and expertise, who are expected to evaluate the document critically and submit their feedback and recommendations to the center.Once critiques and alternative recommendations are compiled and published in a book, they will receive financial support.As of today, until October 21, 2021, eligible seminary and university students can submit their scientific resumes along with a detailed explanation of their expertise related to the subject to the Department of Contemporary Jurisprudence (Fiqh) through @rfiqhci on Eitaa. Upon verification, the center will establish contact and schedule the next steps accordingly. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Note: What is the basis for the audience is from noble fatwas of the Islamic Republic and the content of this article is purely for the purpose of academic discussion.&nbsp;The Answer of Ayatollah Qa'ini:&nbsp;Although there is no problem in the actual procedure (labiaplasty), it becomes forbidden as it requires physical examination. This is because looking at another person's intimate parts is forbidden, even for someone of the same gender, unless the person has an issue in that area that is very difficult to bear or they have reached the point of emergency and distress (even in relation to their marriage duties). In this case, they can undergo a labiaplasty to relieve their distress and suffering.&nbsp;Additionally, it appears to be different from circumcision, and even if it is circumcision, it should be noted that female circumcision is only permissible before puberty and at a time when examination of their intimate parts isn't forbidden (such as a newborn). However, after that time it is not allowed because the essence of the action is recommended, so it shouldn't necessitate a forbidden touch or look. Therefore, it isn't possible to commit a forbidden act for the sake of performing a recommended one.&nbsp;It should also be noted that male circumcision is obligatory and for this reason, it is permissible for a surgeon to perform it even after puberty and even if it results in examining the intimate parts as its an obligatory act.&nbsp;As a result, labiaplasty is permissible only when the extra skin is to an extent that causes great difficulty or distress for the patient, but it cannot be performed for cosmetic reasons or to increase pleasure, etc.

Is labiaplasty permissible? Is it possible to extend the ruling of recommendation of female circumcision to this practice?
