40th Islamic Unity Conference Opens in Tehran

The 40th International Islamic Unity Conference opened in Tehran on Saturday morning with the participation of Iran’s president and prominent scholars from across the Muslim world.

The event is being held at the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Summit Conference Hall, with the attendance of domestic and international guests.

During the opening ceremony, Hojatoleslam Hamid Shahriari, secretary-general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, congratulated participants on the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad and Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq.

He also expressed his appreciation to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the conference’s local and foreign guests for attending the event.
